Never leave a burning candle unattended. Make sure the candle is completely extinguished and the wick is no longer glowing before leaving the room.
2. Secure the area
Never burn a candle on or near anything that could catch fire. Keep burning candles away from flammable furniture, curtains, bedding, rugs, books, paper and decorations. Keep hair and loose clothing away from the flame.
3. Keep candles away from children and pets. & Pets
Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets. Do not place burning candles where they can be knocked over by children, pets, or others.
4. Avoid Drafts & Winds
Avoid drafts and vents. This helps prevent rapid or uneven combustion and soot formation.
5. Do not touch or move
Never touch or move a candle while it is burning or the wax is liquefied.
6. Keep the candles 3 cm apart.
Place lit candles at least 15 cm apart. This ensures that they do not melt on each other or create drafts that would cause them to burn improperly.
Additional Candle Care and Safety Guidelines:
- The candle, container and/or wax may become hot to the touch when in use. Handle with care.
- When using for the first time, burn the candle for at least two hours or until the entire surface has turned to liquid wax. This will extend the life of your candle.
- Trim the wick to 1/8" before each lighting. This helps maintain an even, clean burn. Use a wick trimmer for a perfect cut.
- It is recommended to extinguish the candle after four hours of burning and let it cool for two hours. Trim the wick before relighting the candle.
- Avoid placing your candles in a location where they will be exposed to direct sunlight or bright indoor lighting, such as a spotlight. Candles may discolor if exposed to bright light for an extended period of time.
- Always burn your candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface. This helps prevent heat from damaging underlying surfaces and glass containers from breaking.
- EXTINGUISH and STOP USING a candle when there is 1.5 cm of wax remaining at the bottom of the jar.
- Make sure there is never any wick or other debris in the wax basin.
- Never use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drops from a glass holder. This could scratch, weaken or break the glass during subsequent use.
- Extinguish a candle if it smokes, flickers, or if the flame gets too high. Cool, align, and trim the wick as recommended, then check for drafts before relighting the candle.
- Allow candles to cool completely before touching or moving them.
- It is highly recommended to use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle. Never use water, as it can cause wax to splatter or glass to break.
- Always read and follow the manufacturer's operating and safety instructions carefully.
